Cecilia Bobbitt

Ms. Bobbitt is entering her second year at UCLA this fall.  Her involvement with women’s issues was evident during her undergraduate years, where she served as President of Vassar Voices for Planned Parenthood, interned at her college’s Women’s Center where she planned and implemented programs focusing on combating interpersonal violence and advocating for underserved gender identities in STEM, and interned at the Center for Victim Safety and Support & at a legal services organization supporting victims/survivors of domestic violence.  Ms. Bobbitt also wrote a senior thesis on “Feminist Attempts to Reclaim Pregnancy from Medicalized Gynecology.”  At UCLA, she is the Events and Alumni Coordinator for the Women’s Law Journal and volunteers at the El Centro Landlord-Tenant Legal Clinic and Immigration Legal Clinic (Violence Against Women Act/U-Visa Project).  Ms. Bobbitt plans to pursue a career in public interest law centered on issues impacting women and girls.
