Cindy K. Suh

2018 RBG Scholarship Recipient

Ms. Suh is entering her third year at Southwestern Law School this fall.  Ms. Suh’s interest in family law, particularly issues affecting children, stemmed from her personal experience.  Hence, even prior to law school, Ms. Suh was drawn to working for family law firms, and dealing with cases that involved child custody battles and domestic violence.

Following her first year of law school, Ms. Suh worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marc Gross of the Los Angeles Superior Court, a family law judge.  During her second year of law school, Ms. Suh was an extern for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office’s Victims Impact Program, where she worked with victims of domestic abuse and child abuse.  Ms. Suh has also worked at the Children’s Rights Clinic at Southwestern Law School, where she acts as an advocate for K-12 students with special needs, to obtain for such students the necessary support and services from their schools.

This summer, Ms. Suh will be working at the Children’s Law Center of California, representing children in the dependency system.
