Tobacco Enforcement Operations (TEO) implements the Decreasing Adolescent Tobacco Access (DATA) program funded by a State of California Department of Justice (DOJ) grant. The DATA program aims to reduce the availability of tobacco products to minors by collaborating on enforcement with LAPD and implementing coordinated retailer and community outreach and education.

TEO is located at 201 N. Figueroa Street, 13th floor, in Downtown Los Angeles. Teleworking is available for this position.

This position reports to the Supervising Attorney of TEO. TEO is a part of the Outreach and Restorative Justice Division (ORJD) in the Criminal Branch of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. ORJD consists of various restorative justice, alternative sentencing, and diversion programs that address the root causes of criminal behavior and achieve incarceration reduction. The work being done in ORJD is aligned with local,
state, and national efforts to promote “smart justice” prevention, intervention, and diversion approaches
