Supplemental Materials:
This report offers substantive solutions to breaking through the “15% barrier,” the national average of women equity partners, drawing from its Leadership Summit participants. The report identifies four major “actions for change,” including Leadership, Retention and Promotion, Business Development, and Compensation.
This report analyzes the changing trends in the structure of large law firms, and their effects on the advancement of women lawyers, examining how such trends negatively impact female lawyers, despite their increasing numbers in law school and in the legal profession.

This article examines unconscious bias in general and how it functions in the practice of law. It also offers concrete strategies for greater inclusion of underrepresented lawyers, on individual and structural levels.
The ABA Commission on Women in the Profession considers the compensation of women lawyers and partners based on a survey of about 700 women law firm partners. In addition to recognizing disparities in income, this report also critiques the compensation system’s values, which disadvantages women and minority partners.
