Yanna Bouris

Litigation

Yanna S. Bouris is an intellectual property litigator and partner at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP.  Yanna represents clients in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, false advertising, and unfair competition. She has represented clients in litigation matters involving diverse technologies, including medical devices, biotechnology, machine learning, and computer networking. She has also handled the damages case of several high-stakes litigation matters.

Yanna was recognized as a star in Benchmark Litigation’s 2023 U.S. guide. She is the author of the Damages and Attorney Fees chapter of the PLI Patent Litigation treatise. Yanna earned her B.A. in molecular and cell biology from the University of California at Berkeley (summa cum laude) and her J.D. from Stanford Law School. Prior to law school, Yanna worked in the biotechnology industry in the areas of genetics, real-time PCR, and HIV diagnostics at Life Technologies, Inc., Calypte Biomedical and the Joslin Diabetes Center.
