Vanessa Adriance

Vanessa C. Adriance is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Arnold & Porter. She currently practices in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Ms. Adriance has significant experience advising clients regarding California’s Proposition 65 and has represented retailer and manufacturer clients in the defense of a wide variety of Proposition 65 claims relating to a diverse array of products and issues.  She also has experience advising clients regarding compliance with Proposition 65.  She has extensive experience dealing with the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, the agency charged with administering Proposition 65, and the California Attorney General’s office, on matters relating to Proposition 65.  Ms. Adriance also has advised clients on a variety of other environmental issues, including matters relating to California’s Green Chemistry initiatives and the California Environmental Quality Act.

Ms. Adriance also has substantial trial and appellate experience and has worked on several complex matters involving environmental issues, antitrust issues, contract issues, fraud, and legal malpractice defense from inception through verdict and appeal. 

Ms. Adriance graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University School of Law in 2006, where she served as Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and received the Charles Janvier II Award for Production Excellence. She received a Master of Arts Degree from Tulane University in 2003 in English, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in 2002.

Ms. Adriance also serves on the board of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.

Ms. Adriance is admitted to practice in the states of California and Nevada.
