Anabel Sanchez

Anabel Sanchez is known on social media as @Chicanaesq, a name representing her cultural identity as the first generation in her family to be born in the United States and the first generation in her family to graduate from higher education. She purposefully uses her social media platform to promote social responsibility and advocate for vulnerable populations.

Anabel is a Senior Associate Attorney at the Serrato Law Firm, located in Santa Ana, California and dedicates a portion of her time leading Community Lawyers, Inc. (CLI), a non-profit organization located in Compton, California. On August 16, 2024, Anabel opened the Law Office of Anabel Sanchez. Her solo practice focuses on the representation of victims of crimes in family, immigration and criminal court.

Anabel is the first Latina Foundation President, but she certainly will not be the last. Her term ends in 2027, and she hopes that through her leadership she can bring down some barriers for the next generation of attorneys.
