Which WLALA co-founded with Black Women Lawyers. The Center provides free family law assistance and legal education to the poor. WLALA members are invited to join the Center’s New Leader Network and engage in the Center’s pro bono opportunities.
Is the only organization in Los Angeles exclusively dedicated to addressing the needs of women overcoming poverty and homelessness in Skid Row. WLALA members volunteer at DWC, such as with the cooking club, donating items, and supporting its social enterprise and boutique, Made by DWC.
Along with WLALA Foundation, collaborates to engage WLALA members in pro bono opportunities through ICLC. WLALA Foundation also sponsors WLALA/ICLC Fellowships for law students to work in ICLC’s Homeless Veterans Project during the summer, with a focus on the needs of women veterans.
