Hon. Christine Gonong

The Honorable Christine J. Gonong is a Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court. She is assigned to the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Previously, she was a Court Commissioner. Prior to joining the bench, Judge Gonong was the Director of Law and Motion at Nguyen Theam Lawyers, LLP (formerly Nguyen Lawyers, ALC), a boutique plaintiff-side firm that specializes in complex civil litigation involving catastrophic injuries. Judge Gonong was appointed by the California Supreme Court as Trustee for the State Bar in 2020 and served in this capacity until March 2022. Judge Gonong was also an Adjunct Professor at USC Gould School of Law from 2017 to 2022. Judge Gonong clerked for the Hawaii Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Judge Gonong was also a commercial litigation associate at Jones Day’s Trial Practice Group. Judge Gonong earned her J.D. from the UC College of the Law, San Francisco in 2002. She received her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from UCLA, where she was awarded with College Honors and the Morgan Harris Scholarship Award.
