Juliana Corsetti

Juliana Corsetti is a first-year law student and Gold Honors Scholar at USC Gould School of Law. She earned her BFA with Honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. As a Brazilian student at NYU, Juliana worked with the nonprofits Cinema Tropical and Corrientes to support the distribution of independent Latin American films in the United States. She later worked in film sales at Cinetic Media and as an executive assistant at ICM Partners, where she developed experience in script development, film festival programming, and talent representation.

When the COVID-19 pandemic heightened the need for community-focused advocacy, Juliana moved to Geneva to work with the nonprofit CAMARADA. There, she directed a feature documentary about migrant and refugee women working through a literacy and integration program. Seeing those women tell their stories on their own terms as they navigated a new immigration system and gender-based economic barriers inspired Juliana to create her own original work. In Paris, she co-founded The Babel Manœuvre, a multilingual experimental theatre company. Her debut play, which explored themes of loss and displacement, was performed internationally.

Now at USC, Juliana serves as Vice President of the American Constitution Society and is an active member of the Women’s Law Association and the Latinx Law Students Association. She looks forward to contributing to SJC’s work supporting survivors of intimate partner violence as a WLALA Foundation Fran Kandel Public Interest Fellow.
