Lana Fleischli,

Lana Fleischli is a first year student at Bard College. While entering undeclared, she is planning on studying philosophy, human rights, and English. Growing up, she was always passionate about human rights, specifically reproductive rights. She is also passionate about music, and is dedicated to helping women in music have a voice. Through her blog, Desperately Seeking Serious, she has advocated for artists and women’s rights, thus gaining attention to specific issues she cares about. She also promoted a concert to benefit reproductive rights, partnering with the Women’s Opposition Movement and Access Reproductive Justice. While she isn’t certain how she will create a change for artists and disadvantaged groups, she knows that the law will be vital in helping her get to a place where she can fight for the change she wants to see.
