Mia Munro

Labor & Employment

Mia Munro is a litigation attorney at Genie Harrison Law Firm in downtown Los Angeles. Mia represents employees to enforce their rights against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, equal pay, and wage and hour violations in the workplace, including in class actions and PAGA matters. Mia has been an employment civil rights litigator in Los Angeles since 2013.  Prior to that, Mia practiced for two years at Equal Rights Advocates, a women’s rights impact litigation organization in San Francisco.  

 

Mia graduated with honors from New York University School of Law, University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, and Punahou High School in Honolulu. Between college and law school, Mia served as a paralegal at the U.S. Department of Justice in New York through the Outstanding Scholars Program.  

 

Mia is also a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles (APABA). She serves on the CELA Legislative Committee, as a volunteer attorney at Legal Aid at Work’s Workers Rights Clinic, and as a mentor at the University of Pennsylvania and at CELA.  The Southern California Super Lawyers recognized Mia as a Rising Star Honoree in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
