Lisa Freeman’s practice focuses on consumer class actions and catastrophic personal injury. Before joining Kiesel Law, Ms. Freeman was a judicial attorney at the California Court of Appeal, Second District, Division Seven. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jerome A. Holmes, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and for Tena Campbell, then-Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Utah. She began her career as a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she represented clients in securities, antitrust and insurance matters. While at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Ms. Freeman served as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel to the City of New York. Ms. Freeman has briefed and argued cases in the California Court of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has taught Logic at UC Berkeley, Negotiation at Williams College, and Legal Research and Writing at the University of La Verne’s law school. She graduated from Yale Law School, and, before that, with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley.
