Rachel Morrow

2024 RBG Scholarship Recipient The Han Kavounis Family Foundation Named Scholarship

Ms. Morrow is entering her last year at Loyola Law School. Ms. Morrow has been going to law school part-time, while working full-time as an editor for Gallup.

Ms. Morrow’s full-time work has not prevented her from volunteering many hours to two important groups: (1) the L.A. Mission Abraham Pishevar II Pro Bono Clinic (the “Clinic”); and (2) the Loyola Pro- ject for the Innocent (the “Project”). At the Clinic, Ms. Morrow manages and oversees law student volunteers who assist the unhoused and low-income population of the L.A. Mission and Skid Row community. Since getting involved in January 2023, Ms. Morrow has devoted over 200 hours of pro bono service for the Clinic. Last year, the Clinic helped over 150 LA residents with their various legal issues.

At the Project, Ms. Morrow advocates for incarcerated individuals who may have been wrongfully convicted. This year, she wrote an entire clemency petition to the governor on behalf of an incarcerated individual to advocate for their release. Ms. Morrow will be continuing with the Project this summer and hopes to do a fellowship with the Project after graduation as she wants to pursue post conviction work as an attorney.
