Contribute to the WLALA Foundation Charitable Fund to Help Sow Seeds of Justice

The Foundation’s annual giving campaign – the WLALA Foundation Charitable Fund – increases WLALA’s capacity to support its charitable and pro bono activities. Since its inception in 1997, WLALA Foundation has awarded over $430,000. Ten years later, in 2007, WLALA established what is today known as the Charitable Fund. Over the past 14 years, we have awarded 48 law student scholarships, 24 Public Interest Fellowships, and 8 WLALA/Inner City Law Center (“ICLC”) Fellowships. In 2018, the Foundation expanded its reach to high school seniors with the creation of the Beverly Reid O’Connell Scholarship in honor of the late Judge O’Connell. The Foundation also supports the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law and the Downtown Women’s Center. The Charitable Fund sows the seeds of justice by supporting public interest minded high school and law students with scholarships and initiating lasting legal programs through the summer fellows.

The Charitable Fund Campaign formally kicks off in October and runs through January 31, of the following year but contributions are welcome year round. We rely upon you to support these valuable programs.
